Additional Information
Purpose of position Contributes to KUT's mission by providing outstanding management of special events & member services. Maintains professional standards; deepens public support through positive interaction with members & venders, & accountability to our stakeholders.

Essential functions Oversees regularly scheduled database functions including renewals, premiums, thank you letters, and monthly bills. Responsible for all communication between KUT and community volunteers. Maintains volunteer database. Serves as the main point of contact for station membership and listener phone calls, email and listener mail. Assists with creating and maintaining a customer service database using current Allegiance database tools, to track member and listener comments and issues. Coordinates planning for all KUT fundraising and special events. Responsible for on-site coordination which includes problem-solving, decision-making, and interaction with vendors. Attends and participates in all relevant KUT events. Drives University Vehicle to events/meetings. Access to a personal vehicle required. Monitors and prepares Special Event revenue and expenditure reports. Performs administrative functions, including data management and correspondence. Responsible for creating and executing a volunteer plan for all station activities including special events and on-air fundraisers. Responsible for maintenance of individual and business accounts in all membership databases. Assists Director of Development, Assistant Director of Development and Major Gifts Officer with execution of capital campaigns.


Marginal/Incidental functions Other related functions as assigned. Travel required. Nights and weekend work may be required.

Required qualifications Bachelor's degree. One year of experience in specialized development work or in a related field. Experience in the area of Development/Membership or Event Coordination. Exceptional interpersonal skills and expertise in customer service. Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Strong writing skills a must. Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred qualifications Bachelor's degree and two year experience at the Development/Membership Assistant level. Working knowledge of Allegiance Software a public broadcasting membership management software. Experience in public broadcasting development.

Working conditions Exposure to standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Use of manual dexterity. Climbing of stairs. Lifting and moving.
Travel required. This position may require working on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
