My primary experience is for live television broadcasts, in the field, with immediate deadlines. WORK HISTORY KXAN-TV Channel 36 Austin, Texas News Photographer/Editor June 1999-Present Responsible for shooting and editing news material (packages, sound bites, and voice-overs) for KXAN’s NPPA/AP award winning news programs. Assignments are shot and edited on Sony XD format and edited on Avid Newscutter Adrenaline. Other responsibilities include microwave live shot set up, sports and promotional photography. Cable News Network Atlanta, Georgia Editor/Sound Technician September1989-June 1999 Responsible for editing all news material on Beta format and Avid Newscutter (packages, sound bites, and voice-overs) for CNN’s continuous live news broadcasts and feature programs. Often coordinate editing assignments with CNN bureaus and satellite feeds department and oversee quality of material to be edited. Responsible for gathering all sound material from the field for live broadcast and taped programs for CNN and Turner Broadcasting. Work with photographer in lighting and live shot set up, also responsible for editing and feeding taped material from the field.
